Technology Enhanced Class Rooms - A Translation Work of the Importance of Smart Classrooms for Education: A Crucial Method

Abstract

This study is a translation work in Bengali language of the article “The Importance of Smart Classrooms for Education: A Crucial Method” by Dr. Devendra Kumar Dixit. The study aims to identify the advantages of smart class rooms or advanced ICT enabled class rooms along with the expected challenges encountered during their uses. The study also highlights upon the comparison of smart classroom with traditional classroom environment.

Education has experienced numerous revolutions over millennia. The most recent one, shaping modern learning, is propelled by technology and the internet. Information and communication technology (ICT) is now a fundamental component of the teaching and learning process, defining the core nature of the educational experience itself. This integration ensures tangible, positive results in learning and teaching. As the technological sphere continues to expand, further innovations for future classroom use demand investigation. The "smart classroom" concept addresses this need, fundamentally altering how instructors teach and students learn. Crucially, this concept moves beyond mere technological literacy; the goal is learning with technology. This study explores the integration of smart classrooms, detailing their operations, essential elements, applications, and key differences from conventional classrooms. The widespread integration of web-based resources into smart classrooms represents a permanent paradigm shift in the educational landscape.
